Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world and is more than 2000 years old. An external stimulus via acupuncture needles are applied to different acu-points on meridians, which connect the body and internal organs. Neural and biochemical changes follow. Acupuncture is wholly concerned with restoring the balance between two opposing and inseparable forces: yin (negative) and yang (positive). Health is achieved by maintaining the body in a "balanced state" and illness or disease is due to an internal imbalance of yin and yang. Acupuncture is based on the notion that the body's vital energy force, "chi" travels through known channels or "meridians". The acupuncturist inserts tiny, thin sterile needles that are manipulated by the hands or by electrical stimulation at particular, selected points on the body to unblock or correct the flow of energy.

People experience acupuncture differently, but most feel no or minimal pain as the needles are inserted. It is proposed that acupuncture produces its effects through regulating the nervous system, thus aiding the activity of pain killing biochemicals such as endorphins and immune system cells at specific sites in the body. Acupuncture can help ease a wide assortment of ailments such as stiff neck, frozen shoulder, chronic fatigue syndrome, poor circulation, sport injuries, headaches, insomnia, back pain, arthritis and much more!
Aromatherapy is derived from the ancient practice of using natural plant essences to promote health and wellbeing. Pure essential oils obtained from a wide assortment of plants, which have been steam distilled or cold pressed from flowers, fruit, bark and roots are massaged into the skin. Aromatherapy stimulates and relaxes the central nervous system and can help reduce stress, fatigue, tension and relieve muscle aches and pains. Relaxing, uplifting, sedating or stimulating, restoring both physical and emotional balance
Chinese Acupressure and Deep Tissue Massage
Acupressure is an ancient Chinese technique based on the principles of acupuncture, and involves the use of finger pressure (without the needles) on specific points along the body. Acupressure is a way of accessing and releasing blocked or congested energy centres in the body. It stimulates and activates the body's own energies to fight illness and restore harmony by stimulating various points on the body. The stimulation removes energy blockages by diffusing the toxic build up that accumulates in the muscle tissue. Some common techniques are: rubbing, kneading, percussion and vibration. Fingers, hands, elbows, knees and feet are often used to massage. Acupressure can help alleviate ailments such as tension, stress, muscular aches and pains, arthritis, menstrual cramps, headaches, insomnia and for general preventative health care.

Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction across the grain of the muscles. It helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Because many toxins are released, it's important to drink plenty of water after a deep tissue session. This massage may cause some soreness during or right after the massage but one should feel better within a day or two.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
A consultation is required where a qualified practitioner uses traditional methods of diagnosis such as feeling the pulse, observing the tongue, detailed questioning and analysis. Treatment is based on combinations of traditional herbal formulas that have been developed over the centuries to effectively bring balance and harmony to internal organ functions. Natural health products such as Chinese herbal pills, natural health tea, Chinese herbal oils etc. and advice on their application are available.
Ear Candling
Ear candling is a safe and natural therapy which has been used for centuries for its specific healing functions. Ear candling is used primarily for cleaning the ears and to promote a healthy atmosphere in the ears, sinus cavities and throat.

Ear candling is excellent in the treatment of nose and throat congestion, sinusitis, headaches, tinnitus, otitis external/tropical ear. It is also an ideal relaxation treatment for stress or anxiety related symptoms.
AOK Ion Cleanse (Body Detox Foot Bath)
It is a detox water foot bath which uses brass and stainless steel electrodes. A 30 minute treatment session can rebalance your body by safely mobilising residues and wastes stored within your body. It is a gentle, noninvasive therapy that detoxifies the body through your feet, helping restore your natural equilibrium and wellbeing. The array generates a stream of positive and negative ions. Through the process of osmosis and electrolysis these ions stimulate your body and organs, mobilising waste products.

The machine does not cure any disease or condition but assists the body to detoxify different organs and tissues in the body. It may improve: liver and kidney function, general circulation and metabolism, arthritis, headaches and migraines, skin problems, menstrual pain, PMS and general wellbeing and balance of the whole body.
Reflexology (Foot Massage)
Reflexology is a natural healing art, based on the belief that there are reflex areas on the feet corresponding to all the parts of the body including major organs. Applying pressure to specific areas on the feet stimulates and works the body organs and systems through the reflex areas on the feet.

Reflexology helps to clear out congestion, release blocked energy and improve circulation. It promotes the immune system and assists prevention against disease. It may help relieve pain associated with migraine, sinus problems, digestive problems, back problems, tension and stress.
Spooning-Scraping (Gua Sha)
A Chinese porcelain spoon is used to stimulate the skin and underlying tissues and hence, the chi of the meridians through the acu-points. Thishelpsregulate and open the channels. The purpose of the scraping method is to draw the injury out of the body. In traditional Chinese medicinal philosophy, sha is considered to be an accumulation of heat and blood at the subcutaneous levels of the body Gua Sha breaks up solidifying waste products hiding in subcutaneous tissue, leaving these impurities in a state where excretion is via perspiration or by reintroducing them to the bloodstream for excretion by the liver and kidneys. Gua Sha is mainly used as a form of preventive medicine or for acute conditions such as chills, fevers and the common colds as well as muscular and skeletal injuries.
Vacuum Cupping
A flame is used to take the oxygen out of a glass cup and create a suction effect when it is applied to the body. Suction cups are placed to various parts of the body or where there is local pain, this creates a vacuum that draws toxins to the surface of the skin. This stimulates the person's protective energy and consequently their immune system. Cupping moves vital energy to the area of pain and draws blood stagnation out. Round marks are sometimes left after cupping. These usually disappear after 3-7 days.

Cupping has long been used throughout Europe and Southeast Asia. Cupping is good for tired aching muscles, common colds, sacroiliac pain, general back pain, digestive problems, scar tissues, muscular-skeletal conditions and menstrual problems. Cups are fantastic for detoxifying, tightening and toning tissue.
